About the classes: We have 3 puppy classes running to cater for a range of different ages, however we may recommend a class based on your puppy’s temperament or breed which may be a better fit. Our trainers take puppy development seriously and all the class activities have been designed with a specific goal or development area in mind.

The classes are a mix of obedience training, fun activities, and discussions to keep both the puppies and owners engaged. At Canine Training & Enrichment we aim on creating a friendly environment where owners feel supported in their puppy training journey.

What you will learn and do in the classes: Basic obedience cues, lead walking and recall techniques, common puppy problems, and socialisation and habituation activities which involve getting the puppies use to different experiences including a range of sounds, various common items, different surfaces and textures and learning to go on/off in/out and through different items. The final week concludes with a Confidence course or fun training games.

What is included: 5 weekly classes, email support between classes if required and a certificate completion.

About the trainer: Our puppy class instructor Ruth holds a range of qualifications including: Certificate in Dog Behaviour and Training with the National Dog Training Federation, Puppy Instructors course, certificates in puppy development and socialisation and has recently completed the Puppy Lab course with The School of Canine Science. In addition to this Ruth also has over 10 years’ experience as a puppy foster carer with a local rescue group.
